Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

The Grieving Process

Sadly if you are reading this section it means that you have recently lost your beloved pet and you have my sincere condolences. Through my own experience losing a pet is just the same as losing a family member. The bond we have with them is so strong. Anyone who ever says “it was just a cat or dog or why don’t you just get another” have obviously never had the immense pleasure of owning one.

Animal communication can be comforting after the loss of a pet but I would recommend you give yourself a few weeks to come to terms with your grief first. The main questions people want answering are if their pet is now pain free or could they have done anything else to help them in their final hours, often wanting to pass one final message on to them. Usually the animal also has a message for them too. By connecting with them after passing it can be a huge relief and sense of comfort for the owner and help with the grieving process.
If a pet is coming to the end of their life, especially if they have had a long illness, animal communication can be comforting for the pet and owner. You can monitor how they are feeling, if they are in pain, when they are ready, what their final wishes are and believe me they do have them. This can be reassuring for both the animal and the owner too.

Grief affects everyone differently, and there is no time limit, it will be in your own time, however long it takes. If you can, talk to your family and friends.
