DISTANT ANIMAL REIKI

is a way of sending Reiki energy to an animal from a distance (photograph).
Once the animal has given permission and accepted the energy it will go to where it is needed most in their body. It is just as effective as in person healing.
As there are no barriers it can be used on animals in different time zones/countries and is very good for animals who are stressed or have suffered abuse/neglect.

Animal Reiki

Reiki is a non-invasive, complementary therapy which promotes deep relaxation and natural healing. I do not give the energy, but purely act as a channel/conduit for it. Reiki is very clever and will go to where it is needed, the animal will only draw as much energy as it needs is not harmful in any way and is always for the animals highest good. It works by treating energy blockages or any imbalances within the animal’s energetic systems which can cause emotional and physical issues. Reiki heals the animal on so many levels, emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually.
When energy enters the animal’s body, as long as there are no blockages in their chakras it will travel through the body in an even flow, meaning each area is receiving all the energy it needs to stay balanced. If there is a blockage this flow will stop causing an imbalance in the body which needs releasing to restore balance and harmony.

• Speed up the healing process following illness, injury or following an operation
• Stimulates the immune system which promotes their own natural healing
• Promote relaxation and reduce stress or anxiety – e.g travelling in the car, introducing an animal to a new home, a visit to the vet
• Help with emotional or behavioural issues
• Provide support for a pet who is grieving the loss of another animal or their owner, also help with end of life care for an animal and support for their owner
• It can be sent distantly to animals
• Help with rescue animals who have suffered from trauma and neglect
• Deepen the bond between animal and owner
• Improve and maintain their general health and wellbeing

It is always a good idea to let your animal go to the toilet before the session starts and make sure there is fresh drinking water available for when the session has ended as they can often become very thirsty afterwards which is normal as their body begins to release any toxins. During the session you may hear noises coming from their stomach and passing of wind which is quite normal.
All animals react in different ways, most will lay down and relax straight away but others may fidget for a few minutes before settling. As Reiki carries on working after the treatment some will go into a deep state of relaxation and sleep for a few hours as their body starts the healing process. If this happens, do not disturb them just let them rest. You may see changes in your pet straight away but not always and if not don’t worry. It does not mean that it hasn’t worked.

All animals are treated as an individual. While one treatment would always be beneficial and sometimes all that is required depending on their situation and problems sometimes a course of treatments would be recommended. Some owners book a session once a month or every few months just as maintenance for their pet to keep them balanced before problems arise. Some owners see a difference straight away but sometimes it can take a few weeks or sessions to see a noticeable difference depending on the problem.

Just for today
I will not worry,
I will not be angry
I will do my work honestly
I will be grateful for my many blessings
I will be kind to all living things

If your animal is currently under veterinary care you must obtain their permission first.
The Veterinary Surgery Act of 1966 (amended 1996) prohibits anyone other than a qualified Veterinary Surgeon to diagnose ailments and giving of advice on such diagnosis. However the healing of animals by contact healing, by laying on of hands and distant healing is legal.
The Protection of Animals Act 1911 requires that if an animal clearly needs treatment from a veterinary surgeon the owner must obtain this.
